About Us
Vasavi Vidyalaya in Coimbatore was born with a noble vision of spreading the brilliance of knowledge. Its parent, Coimbatore Arya Vysya Samajam, was established with an idea of reaching the needy by creating an appropriate environment and infrastructure. The idea was to move towards utopian society of peace and harmony among our brotherhood and humanity. The establishment of library, reading room, a tamil medium school, a gymnasium, kalyanamandapam, clinic etc., received a fillip with starting of Vasavi Vidyalaya school in 1986 at Vysial Street with 22 students and 3 teachers
Today Vasavi Vidyalaya stands as one of the reputed institutions in Coimbatore. Vasavi Vidyalaya provides education from LKG to V standard at Vysial street campus under Vasavi Vidyalaya Nursery and primary school and from LKG to XII standard under Vasavi Vidyalaya Matriculation Higher Secondary School at Telungupalayam Pirivu campus. With the run of 37years, it has 120 staff and 2338 students.
